Dropped Another Client – Adding Another Website

As my financial situation changes, I’ve had to drop another client to make room for more work for my weekly paying gig. Right now, my focus is on earning a decent weekly paycheck. Just like any person, I’m out to make as much money as I can, in the shortest amount of time.

I’m also a firm believer in building residual income, also known as passive income. I’ve written here several times about my desires to get into a little affiliate marketing. I think freelance writing and affiliate marketing are very similar as you need to write articles and blog posts on a niche website and places like ezineArticles. Then, you place relevant afflilate links in your posts. When people click on those links and buy something from the site, you’ll earn some income. After earning my first 84 cents, I’m looking to see if I can really turn affiliate marketing into something productive for me.

So, here is another project I’m working on… setting up a niche blog and doing some affiliate marketing. I want to do this with no money and see how successful I can get. I’ve set up a Blogger blog, and will use the regular blogger domain name. Of course, this will be done in my spare time, which I don’t have much of between writing, family, and house work. But, I got started on Sunday and made pretty good progress. I’m not ready to show the world, but I hope to in a week or so. I’ll post a link here! I will also talk about my progress on this blog, as I do with my other projects.

As for my Suite101 articles, I seem to be stuck at $2.89 earnings.. only 3 articles. I’ve got to get some more articles up there. I keep trying to think of these fancy articles to publish, but I’m starting to think I really don’t need anything fancy. I’m going to write some articles about simple things, like where to find free pictures for your website, how to set up a facebook fan page, and stuff like that. At this point, I just want to get some quality articles up there, nothing too intensive though!
